At the end of the day, the new oak floor is in the kitchen. The original floor was maple, which a previous owner covered with linoleum, probably in the 50s, and then the woman we bought the house from covered the linoleum with pergo, sometime in the 90s. We took off the pergo and linoleum a few years ago, but the maple was in bad shape. It will be nice to have oak in the kitchen to match the rest of the house. new floor shot from dining room ...
I must admit it was nice to have a quiet day yesterday, we all slept late. We were invited to a friends house for dinner, thank you Haussmann's. I brought an appetizer and I made it in my make shift kitchen. I made bruschetta! AND it was good! I am also grateful that Sharon, asked me..."you did get a counter depth fridge, right?" As for the dust, really not used to that yet, it's everywhere! I have yet to make a hot meal in the microwave or my electric skillet that my Mom gave me years ago. Of course I thought I'd never use that electric skillet, but... thanks Mom. I'll try it out tonight, or this weekend, I just have to find it. more framing and pipes Closed up the window, this is where the stove will go. the doorway to my beautiful walk-in pantry. We are taking a door from upstairs and using it here. This little cubby is where my new fridge will go. ...
