A Surprise Gift

I had wanted to create a weaving using only rya knots. This was a technique that I've been interested in for a while, it creates such a beautiful texture.

A friend of mine was having a birthday party and she wanted me to hang one of my weavings at her house so that I could get the word out that I'm creating these wall hangings and she thought her friends would be interested.

I started the project with every intention of just hanging it on her wall and then adding it to my Etsy shop for sale. But as I continued to work on it, I realized how supportive this friend has been over the years and decided the weaving would be a birthday gift to her. Let's just say she was pretty happy, which made me happy too!
